Recharged

Take a closer look at the graphic. Can you see Earth, Fire, Air and Water? You can read it backwards too. I dig mind teasers.
I love this "warm" weather. I'm anxious for my favorite season to start, even the thought of Spring physically does something to me. After these last couple of weeks and my snowy commutes (it took me over 2.5 hours to get home in that snowstorm on Wednesday) I've never been more ready for Spring to come. I hate Winter! Which is probably why I'm in LOVE with Spring. I went for a long walk today and soaked up the sun and along with going with my friends to see Step Up 2 (corny and lacking Channing Tatum), going out for lunch and getting a pedicure yesterday...my batteries are defintely recharged. And if my weekend wasn't great already...I get work off tomorrow. *Sigh* With all this I could probably stick out one more storm.

P.S. I'm in LOVE

with these sexy guys AND this movie!
My friend Lisa gave me 10 premiere tickets to see this movie on Monday at The Gateway. So, I took the whole family to see it. We went to the Olive Garden downtown before the show. I got the stuffed chicken marsala (which I'm in love with too). We were kinda celebrating Christmas because Chelsey and Zach are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow. I love hanging out with the fam, especially when there's good food involved. Anyways, back to the movie...OH MY GOSH! It was really, really good! It's sad but oh so good! No one really knew what it was about but were all pleasantly surprised. Remember to take a box of Kleenex! I had a headache afterwards from fighting the ugly cry. We all had tears streaming down our faces. It comes out this Friday and I really want to see it again. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it all week.

I heart good movies

my mom, courtney and i saw this in the movie theaters when it first came out. it was only playing at jordan commons and only one showing a day. i don't know why, i thought it was cute, creative and quirky. however, i didn't appreciate the fact she was having an affair! i think the movie would have been even better if they changed the marital status of the doctor. i watched it again yesterday, and just like the first time, i had urges to become a professional pie baker or at least buy a pretty and shiny kitchen aid mixer.

fyi: adrienne shelly, the actress in the movie who wears the funky glasses, actually wrote and directed the movie. she was murdered in her n.y apartment before it was released at the sundance film festival. really sad! she never got to see her work up on the big screen.

Thanksgiving Highlights

1. Unfortunately, being in the basement when my uncle thought HE was the only one in the basement and hearing him rip the loudest tootertwinkle. lol. I couldn't look him in the face for the rest of the night.

2. Eating tons of yummy food but not over doing it.

3. Going to see Enchanted with the entire Bell clan Thanksgiving afternoon.

4. Watching the entire first season of my new favorite TV show Friday Night Lights with Courtney. I now have a crush on several fictional characters. All I gotta say is Riggins is fetchin' hot stuff. Watch it!

5. Thinking about doing homework but not actually doing any of it.

6. Seeing August Rush with good friends. I really liked this show! It had a good message and good music. I've already downloaded a couple songs.

Highlights reviewed: Basically, I sat around all weekend eating food and watching the boobtube. I think my fatass (pronounced fa-toss) is permanently molded in the couch. Ahhh *sigh* what a GREAT weekend.

Movie Night

We finally got Gram out of the house. She broke her ankle up at the cabin and has been stuck in our basement for the past 3 weeks. We went to Wingars, our favorite Friday night spot, and saw Evan Almighty. I was the last one to enter the theater I assumed we would be sitting on the front row because that is where the wheelchair accessible seats are but no one was there. They were on the very top row. I guess my brother Ryan lugged her all the way to the top. The first thing I thought was, "I hope Grandma has her breaks on!" I envisioned someone accidentally nudging her during the movie which was just enough for her to roll off the first step and continue to roll all the way down, with her wheelchair bouncing off the wall and seats like a pinball machine (this was all in slow motion). Well, half way through the movie they had a brown out. I didn't know there was such a thing as a brown out...did you? I guess it is a black out but you still have emergency lights. My dad got on his chair and started tapping on the movie projector window trying to get someones attention. What a weirdo! We joked that it was a life or death situation and started rationing our popcorn. We sat there for a 1/2 hour for the movie to come back on but we had no such luck. It was a bummer because the movie was just getting good too. SO, we ended up back at home and I watched Some Like it Hot an oldie but goodie. I found this old (vintage) movie poster and thought it would be perfect for my blog! What a nerd...I know!

What I've done this past week...

I probably should be more productive but I love a good book or a good movie!

I read this book over the weekend. I rented in from the library (i love the library). It was a good book. P.S I'm always looking for a good book to read. If you find one...LET ME KNOW!

I love made for TV movies. This is Suzanne's Diary to Nicholas by James Patterson. I've read the book and it's really good. I came across the movie at Target and had to buy it. I think you can rent it at Hollywood too. It will make you cry but there is a happy ending.

My brother, Ryan, just introduced me to this show....I think it is hilarious! I had to go to my parents to Tivo all the episodes.
