Today is my special lucky day. I have a thing for the number 11. There was a time when I swore I accidentally looked at the clock at 11:11 everyday. I, of course, had to make a wish every time it happened. I just know something amazing, spectacular and completely awesome will happen today. I'll let you know tomorrow what it was.

Burning the midnight oil
I’m such a night owl! I have some of my most ingenious, clever, journal worthy thoughts late at night. However, being a night owl is not conducive to bright and early mornings that should be spent getting ready for work. Lately, I’ve been hitting the snooze WAY too many times.
It’s amazing how decisive I am can be while half asleep. I can go from planning on getting completely ready to settling for wet hair that I let the air conditioning in my car dry and a quick coat of mascara that I put on during stop lights, just to get a few more minutes of sleep. I’m super jealous of early risers. I envy all the things they seem to get done before my alarm goes off for the first time.
If I were an early riser I would wake up and exercise, read my scriptures and actually kneel down to prayer, eat breakfast at the table, shave my legs, pluck my eyebrows, straighten my hair, apply a full face of makeup, make my bed and put away my “getting ready mess” and to just sit around and ponder.
I read this blog post (p.s: it’s an awesome blog you should read it often) awhile back and it gave me a ray of hope that I to could become a chipper, early riser. He trained himself to wake up at four freakin’ thirty in the morning. I don’t know about that! My goal is to wake up one hour before it’s time to leave my house No, it’s not a lofty goal but it will still be very hard for me.
Why do I make goals? A wise co-worker once told me that “Trying is the first step to failure”. In my case, he’s probably right 90% of time but every once in awhile something sticks. AND why do I blog about it? I have no idea! Sorry for the boring ramble.

Adding to the collection
More bliss:
"Welcome to Burger King where we do it your way...but don't get crazy."
"Gurl! I will CUT you."
"SeKURity, SeKURity."
"Oh...is that what you had said?"

Ba da ching
This is one of my favorite Kade “Leno” (that's what he calls himself) stories—
When Kade was in Kindergarten he came home one day and told Courtney and me that a boy at recess had said a BAD word. SO (because we were “mature adults”) we asked him what it started with. He said, “B”. AND (because we like to ruin the innocence of young children) we asked him if it rhymed with tastard? (I know, I know, we were TOTALLY corrupting our little brother) He said, “No, but it rhymes with RUBY.” Yep, you guessed it! BOOBIE was the BAD word.
Ok, so the story skips forward a couple of weeks. Kade and I were riding his little Razor scooter around the neighborhood. I was pushing off while he had both his feet on the scooter and resting his bum on my leg in front of me, can you picture it? We went around the neighborhood a couple times before I mentioned that his bum was sweating on my leg. And his response is why I LOVE my little brother. He said, “OH YEAH!!! WELL!!! Your RUBIES keep on hitting me in the head.” I started laughing so hard we both fell of the scooter.

XOoXx
I hit the mother load! I stumbled across this blog the other day and completely lost track of time. I really, really love the internet! I love that it brings all different kinds of places, people, art, culture and random facts right to my finger tips. I love you, Internet!
Bluelines Source Book (Click here to begin Surfing)
Bluelines was a magazine that was part of the Martha Stewart family. I think they stopped making it in July.
