Payson Lake

My parents, Kade, Courtney and I went on our annual camping trip to Payson Lake. We did the math and realized we've been going for 16 years! I can remember the first time we went. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite a success. It was a dark, dreary, rainy day...I remember being smashed in the back seat of my Dad's small Toyota truck with all the camping gear. We found a wet, soggy campsite and started to set up all of our gear. Just as we finished setting everything up the campsite director told us that our site was reserved for someone else. We were still determined to camp and decided to find a different spot. SO, we plopped the tent on top of our mini van and discovered that there were no more spots...that was the last straw...we ended up driving home that night. Our first trip to Payson Lake lasted two hours and we spent it setting up and taking down our campsite.

My Mom has just discovered how fun it is to make ugly faces. I think she already has it down...what do you think? What can I say...this crazy talent runs in the family. Look at Courtney's goober face. Classic!

Sorry ladies...I couldn't resist! For those looking for something to do on a boring Friday night...this is very entertaining. We had a sleepover at our house last Friday night. The plan was to wake up early and go fishing at Daybreak Lake BUT when 6:00 rolled around I was regretting I had agreed to go. I told everyone that I would meet them at the lake in 10 minutes...ummm...an hour later they came back soaking wet to wake me up. They had their poles in the water for 5 minutes before it started to rain, SO we went to IHOP for breakfast instead...Can I get the ROOTIE TOOTIE FRESH AND FRUITY?!

School started today...

This is how I feel about it!

Reason 1. Got stuck in two traffic accidents.

Reason 2. Drove around for twenty minutes and still couldn't find a parking spot.

Reason 3. Got lost on Campus.

Reason 4. Finally found the right building and classroom and everyone was packing up to leave.

Lake Powell

So, I finally found time to post my pictures from Lake Powell...we went a month ago. Wow, time flies! This was our second year planning it. I hope it will continue to be a tradition. Last year we got a marriage out of it...I can't wait to see what happens this year. wink, wink. (p.s. I was not referring to myself...there were absolutely no sparks:) There were 26 people on a 46 foot houseboat that had only 2 bathrooms. It was a BLAST! I can't wait until next year!

Another Semester Down!

Ahhh...such a big sigh of relief! Have you ever heard the saying "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger?" Well, for me, it's more like "What doesn't kill you will make you FATTER!" I can't even start to tell you how excited I am. I have only ONE semester and only TWO classes left. Hip Hip Hooray! After attending SLCC, UVSC, U of U and switching my major from Elementary Education to Communications (Public Relations)...I can finally see the finish line. I applied for graduation yesterday. It is so weird to think that this time last year I wasn't going to school and I wasn't planning on ever going back. Two days before last fall semester I made a spontaneous decision to go back to school and now this fall semester I'll be graduating.
